Rural Appointments

We believe that high quality health care should be accessible for ALL women and as we continue to work towards realising this mission, today we are proud to announce one step further in that direction via the introduction of rural healthcare support for women in remote areas.

Location can be a barrier for many women in need of quality healthcare in the pelvic floor physiotherapy space. To help fill this need, once a month our Principal Physiotherapist Kat will be available for in-person consultations at Align in Bloom in Gladstone.

To ensure we make the most out of your time at Align in Bloom, Kat will meet you for an Initial Consultation (45 minutes) over zoom to have a thorough chat and get to know you and your body.

Kat will ask a range of questions including areas such as bladder, bowel, sexual function, any birth history, general health history and any concerns you may have.

We understand that these things can be difficult to talk about at times, so rest easy knowing you are in a safe space and these are concerns we see all day, every day.

After your Zoom consultation, Kat will book a time to see you in-person at Align in Bloom. Alongside information from your Zoom consultation, this consultation may include assessments such as internal pelvic floor assessment (vaginal and/or rectal, with your consent), abdominal muscle separation assessment and any relevant musculoskeletal assessment.

During this time, Kat will work with you to put a plan together to aid in achieving your goals.

All consultations are claimable on private health insurance. Please contact your health fund directly for the rebate amount, each health fund is different so rebates will vary.
